Rachael Ray Love Her or Hate Her?

Rachael Ray's Ducky Face

Seldom, this side of emeril , has a food Tv personality inspired such a visceral reaction as Rachael Ray. Her new syndicated show, “Rachael Ray,” has become one the best received daytime show’s of the new season, and her popularity is sky rocketing – but that doesn’t mean that she does not have her detractors:

Oh, you mean the “rachaelraysucks” Web site and all that? I don’t consider that controversial. Look at Martha, look at Oprah. It’s too intimate a business that there won’t always be a camp of people who don’t like what you’re doing that day or in general. I don’t take that personally at all. And everything they say is true. You can’t please all the people all the time, and any successful person would hopefully tell you the same. That can’t be my business plan in life — to make people like me. Not a good plan. You do what you do, try and recognize your limits, try and be the best at what you do.

Joe Guzzardi refuses to let Rachael ruin his Thanksgiving…And lets not even go into the whole Tony Danza thing. On the plus side Eyedropp3r seems to be slightly obsessed with her.

While she is obviously not a gourmet ( I mean just LOOK at this… ) it is interesting that she inspires such positive and negative reactions in people. As for me, well she is just a little to darm perky for me.

Looking for a Kitchenaid?

I was watching television a couple of days ago and happened to see a commercial about Kitchenaid mixers. My mother-in-law has one and I fell in love with it the first time I used it (which was about 15 years ago).

Ever since that first experience, I have wanted one. And since I have started baking my own bread and such again, having one of these wonderful pieces of machinery would be time-saving.

Now, Kitchenaids are not cheap; they can range from $300 to $700. It just depends on the model and the attachments you want. Well, what caught my attention about this commercial was that I could get a Kitchenaid with either the ice cream or pasta maker attachment for $299!

I will be ordering my Kitchenaid
