This video shows you how to dehydrate spaghetti sauce in your oven to take on your next backpacking trip.

Tasty Waffles

Waffles are one of the favorite breakfasts and also a very popular deserts. You can buy them frozen from the supermarket but you can also make them yourself right at home. The best thing about making waffles at home is the fact that you can make them just the way you like them, maybe you want to use whole grain wheat, maybe you don’t like sugar, maybe you want to add chocolate chips etc… Making waffles is actually very easy, all you need are a few good Waffle recipes and some basic ingredients that you probably have at home anyway. All there is left is a Waffle Maker. Waffle maker (also called Waffle Iron is a simple toaster with a distinctive honey comb pattern that is baked into the waffles, giving them their famous shape.

For a simple waffle you will need
8 ounces of all purpose flour,
1 tablespoon of sugar,
2 teaspoons of soda,
1 tablespoon salt,
3 eggs,
1 1/2 cup of milk,
and some vegetable oil.

Mix all the dry ingredients together in one big bowl and eggs, milk, and oil into another bowl. Beat the eggs and milk until you get an even liquid and pour them into the first bowl. Now you have to mix the batter it until there are no lumps left. All there is left is to put a cup of batter into the hot waffle maker and your first waffle is here. This is of course a very simple waffle recipe, later you can use Belgian waffle recipe or even a waffle cone recipe to make waffle cones for your ice cream.

Morbid obesity

English medical literature refers to severe obesity as ‘morbid obesity’. That is the weight exceeding the norm by 100 lb (1lb=453.59g). In Russian literature (information provided by Jacob Bogatin) morbid obesity means excessive body mass which is over 100% higher than the norm; thus, it is applied to the condition more severe than the one defined by American standard. It is morbid obesity which causes increased occurrence of illnesses and higher death rate among overweight people. Unfortunately, these people are numerous. According to the statistics of Diagnostic Center in Philadelphia Prevalence of overweight (i.e. percentage of people with body mass excessive by 10%) is 25 to 30% of the population in the developed countries, with 4 to 8% suffer from morbid obesity.

Hence, over 2 or 4 excessive kilos are not worth making fuss about them, neither blaming yourself for your weight gain. You may worry about some of your body features that appear too plump and require esthetic correction. Meanwhile, obesity becomes health- or life-threatening only when the adipose tissue is notably excessive, such as when weight exceeds norm by 50 or 100%. But in less severe cases achieving ideal weight is not necessary for confronting the related problems. Moreover, according to the popular health magazine changing lifestyle, taking prescribed vitamin complexes and forming healthy habits result in weight reduction without any special treatment (just consider vitamins online); nevertheless, it is essential to monitor weight and prevent excessive weight gain.

Get Into The Right Dieting Mindset

When it comes to dieting, far too many people set themselves up for failure before they even begin the process. They literally dread going on their diets and before they start the process are planning their mishaps along the way. Sad to say but true, far too many would be dieters are planning their first Rocky Road mishap while eating their last bowl of Rocky Road before the big event.

I have no idea why we tend to do this to ourselves but it is something I see in dieters everywhere. The far too popular notion is that one must binge on the foods most loved and enjoyed before beginning the dieting process because these things must be completely eliminated in order to shed those unwanted pounds. If you are honest with yourself, nothing could be further from the truth.

Remind yourself that you are depriving your body of years of bulges and bringing back the body of your youth. Do not get so caught up in the dieting process that you forget to enjoy some of the goodies that life has to offer. Watching your weight and counting your calories does not mean that you can never go over your allotment. The goal however is to find balance. If you learn to portion your food correctly, indulge in moderation, and incorporate enjoyable calorie burning activities into your daily routine you may be amazed at the results. Dieting for weight loss and health is only depriving if you allow it to be. If you cannot control yourself when it comes to indulging then by all means avoid indulging. However, if you can learn to incorporate those small treats into your routine in moderation and burn those extra calories as well, then you should find yourself a much happier and more successful ‘dieter’ than you have ever managed to be in the past.
