Raw foods can come in forms of fruits and vegetables, meat, fish and cheese. Examples of these are sashimi, raw goat cheese, steak tartar, etc. These foods are already healthy but they will be healthier if they were organically grown.</p>
<p>What is more, they will have the same amount of nutrients they have when they were first harvested. Eating them raw, you would receive one hundred percent of the nutrients it has. When you fry, boil, grill, or cook the food in any way, the nutrients will be degraded and the enzymes that come with the food, which can help our body systems, would be destroyed. <span id="more-754"></span></p>
<p>For raw food diet, you can be assured that you will lose some pounds. Raw foods have reduced calories and carbohydrates compared to commercially processed foods. If you eat fewer calories, the body will have to turn to the fat stores and make up for the lost calories. </p>
<p>Another reason why you can be assured is that some raw foods have a certain enzyme in them called lipase, which is responsible for splitting the fat in your body. The only reason why even if you eat vegetables with your normal diet and not get thin is because you don’t eat enough vegetables that contain lipase to split up the fats in your body.</p>
<p>People of different nationalities have praised the wonders the raw food diet. All of them state that with the raw food diet, they don’t crave for food in-between meals anymore. What they thought once as a strong addiction to food was just a craving for more sugar. </p>
<p>These people are now satisfied with a life of raw food and exercise. Some have claimed that their sicknesses such as asthma and constant migraines have diminished during their period of dieting. And above all that, a person can eat as much as he or she wants as long as it is raw! All that matters is that the person has a healthy digestive system. </p>
<p>On a side note, for eating raw foods, it may take a while to notice the weight loss. That is because you need to give time to your body to cleanse the digestive system and detoxify it. You digestive system will have to rebuild itself from the damages caused by ‘bad foods’.</p>

<p>It is best to avoid junk foods and alcohol-based beverages, bread and sugar as they may interfere with the expected results. Besides slimming you down, the goal of this type of diet is to influence your bowel movement and digestion process by the amount of fiber you are taking in. <span id="more-750"></span></p>
<p>You need to eat different foods with the vegetable soup every day. Make sure to eat some cereal for a great source of fiber. When you are on the vegetable soup diet, you should change your beverage too. Drink black coffee, unsweetened tea, fruit juice (it is best if it is fresh fruit juice. Tetra packs of powdered juice may have added sugar in it.) and plenty of water.</p>
<p><strong>7 Day Vegetable Soup Diet:</strong><br />
Day 1: Include all fruits in as much quantity as you want in your diet, except bananas, along with the soup.<br />
Day 2: Include all vegetables in your diet, especially leafy green ones rather than starchy ones. You can even have one backed potato, without butter, and vegetable soup.<br />
Day 3: Stick to fruit and vegetables only, with no potato. Vegetable soup can be taken as much as you want.<br />
Day 4: For a change, take bananas and skimmed milk. You can take up to eight bananas and as much skimmed milk as you want. This will provide protein, carbohydrates, calcium and potassium to your body, lessening your craving for sweet and fatty foods. Vegetable soup can be taken as much as you want.<br />
Day 5: Meat and tomatoes. Limit the amount of meat. Resort to red meat for Iron. Drink plenty of water to wash away the acid from the tomatoes. Vegetable soup to be taken according to your discretion.<br />
Day 6: Day for meat and vegetables. Limiting the meat, soup and vegetable can be taken in ample quantity.<br />
Day 7: Vegetables and brown rice. Take soup as much as you want.<br />
Once you are done with the seven days, it will be okay to stop. Results are expected by the end of the diet.</p>

One of these diet plans is known as the Grapefruit Diet or the Grapefruit Juice Diet. This diet has been around since circa 1930 and has been spread by word of mouth, and even in books.  </p>
<p>The grapefruit is a very nutritious, low-calorie citrus fruit loaded with vitamin C and Fiber. It is a fat burner because of its low glycemic index (a measure of how much a certain food raises your blood sugar level), high fiber and low calorie nature that reduce insulin levels and make the people who are using this diet feel full. <span id="more-740"></span></p>
<p>This diet has a strict set of rules that have to be followed for twelve days. If, however, the person wants to continue the diet process, he/she must wait for 2 days before starting the diet again. </p>
<p><strong>Instructions:</strong><br />
1. At any meal, you may eat until you are full – until you can’t eat anymore.<br />
2. Don’t eliminate anything from the diet, especially don’t skip the bacon at breakfast or omit salads. It is the combination of foods that burn fats.<br />
3. The grapefruit is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process.<br />
4. Cut down on caffeine – it affects the insulin balance that hinders the burning process. Try to limit 1 cup per meal at mealtimes.<br />
5. Don’t eat between meals. If you eat the combination of food suggested, you would not feel hungry.<br />
6. Note that the diet completely eliminates sugar and starch which are lipids and form fat. Fat doesn’t form fat; it helps burn it. You can fry food in butter and use butter generously on vegetables.<br />
7. Do not eat desserts, bread, white vegetables or sweet potatoes.  You may double or triple helpings of meat, salad or vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed. The more you eat of the proper combination of food, the more you lose. </p>
<p>It may seem that it is impossible to lose weight if you eat significant amounts of food but a study held by Dr. Ken Fujioka where 100 men and women used the Grapefruit Juice Diet concluded that if you strictly follow the instructions and the menu, you will lose 10 pounds or more. Below is the menu of the Grapefruit juice diet.</p>
<p>Breakfast: 2 eggs (any style), 2 strips of bacon, black coffee, 8 oz. of grapefruit juice.</p>
<p>Lunch: Salad with salad dressing (as much as you please), unlimited meat and 8 oz. of grapefruit juice. </p>
<p>Dinner: Red of Green Vegetables (except starchy ones) or salad, unlimited meat or fish and 8 oz. of grapefruit juice.<br />
Bedtime Snack: 8 oz. skim milk.</p>
<p>*You can use all the butter and salad dressing you want. Foods may be prepared in any method. Grapefruit juice must be unsweetened. You must drink 64 oz. of water a day. No foods outside the menu unless approved of. Snack must come after dinner. </p>

<p>First, you have to define what kind of vegetarian you want to be, and most importantly, you think you can be. A real vegetarian includes dairy and eggs to their diet, and some even fish. But a vegan is someone who strictly eats plant produce, not dairy or eggs and even feel that honey is not allowed, too. The other kind is flexitarian, these are people who only reduces their meat intake but does not completely eradicate them from their diet. <span id="more-736"></span></p>
<p>The second thing you have to know about healthy vegetarian diet is that not because it is eliminating meat products, it means that you cannot gain weight from it. Just like eating meat, if you do not control the portioning and the way the vegetables are prepared, there is still a chance that it can add additional weight. A good portion of a balanced vegetarian diet is half a plate of colorful vegetables, ¼ plate of whole grains and the remaining ¼ for protein rich vegetable derived food like tofu from soy. </p>
<p> It is also very important that a vegetarian diet should give emphasis in replacing protein lost by not eating meat. There are good sources of protein such as tofu and quinoa. If you will be missing the taste and texture of meat, try eating mushrooms, especially the portobello kind and baked tofu instead. </p>
<p>Making sure that you get other proper nutrients is very important to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet. Calcium, zinc and iron are the common deficiencies by vegetarian that did not closely monitor their daily dietary needs. Greens like bok choy is a good source of calcium, spinach and other legumes are rich in iron and soy product and nuts are rich in zinc. </p>
<p>Eating more vegetables and reducing or eliminating meat in a diet can be good for weight management and over all health. But knowing the different vegetable sources of essential nutrients is very important to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet. </p>

<li>A pecetarian is someone who doesn&#8217;t eat meat and poultry but includes fish in their diet.</li>

<p>Once you start feeling muscle cramps and mental slowness, it means that your body lacks potassium. Don’t gobble on a banana. Instead, take 90 grams of potassium supplements which will work at least an hour after you take them. After that, you’ll be back in shape. <span id="more-691"></span></p>
<p>Make sure that you take in enough calories each day, you should consume 8-10 calories per body pound that you have.  If you feel weak at this level, it&#8217;s safe to go for 12 calories per pound of your body weight.</p>
