			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Tips For Cooking Tasty Pork Ribs</strong><br />
Barbequing can be a risky business. You invite your friends and family over for some home-cooked goodness &#8212; but how do you know your barbecue is going to turn out good? What if it’s not as good as the last time you made it?</p>
<p>Even for seasoned Barbecue vets, getting your meat consistently good is something that can be more than a little tricky. Well I&#8217;m here to tell you that it&#8217;s totally doable, and here are eleven tips that will help:<br />
<span id="more-323"></span><br />
1. Purchase ribs that are evenly covered in meat. In other words, don&#8217;t buy a slab that is fatty on one end and fleshy on the other. Avoid slabs that have exposed bones! </p>
<p>2. Allow for one pound of ribs per guest. This is a generous helping but for more impressive appetites, make it two!</p>
<p>3. When preparing the meat, make sure you remove the membrane on the underside of the ribs with a sharp knife. If you don&#8217;t it blocks the flavor intake. </p>
<p>4. Always marinate your ribs in the refrigerator, not at room temperature.</p>
<p>5. Don&#8217;t even think about boiling those ribs! Above all else, boiling the meat causes it to lose all its flavor. If you just have to pre-cook your ribs before slapping them on the cooking grate, try steaming your slabs instead as this will help lock the flavor in.</p>
<p>6. Before placing your ribs on the grate for Barbecuing or smoking, make sure you coat the metal with a generous helping of oil.</p>
<p>7. Barbecuing demands constant attention! As soon as it goes on your grate, stay close by and keep an eye on it. Watch the cooking temperature and avoid going above 250 degrees Fahrenheit &#8212; the best ribs are cooked slowly over indirect heat for about five hours.</p>
<p>8. Put down that fork! Always use tongs to handle your meat once it&#8217;s on the grate. Why pierce the meat and let the flavor ooze out if you don&#8217;t have to?</p>
<p>9. If you&#8217;re going to baste during cooking stay away from anything with sugar in it. Your best bet is to use vinegar and/or water-based products only.</p>
<p>10. Only lay on the BBQ sauce in the last 20-30 minutes of cooking. Any sooner than that and the heat will cause the sauce to caramelize and burn your meat.</p>
<p>11. Let the ribs cool for 10-15 minutes before you serve them up. This is just a courtesy &#8212; you don&#8217;t want to singe your guests&#8217; mouths with smoking hot sauce! You could lose some friends.</p>
<p>Now the only thing left to do is to go out and implement these tips. Happy barbecuing!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Think about it. When we think of Thanksgiving, we think of turkey. If we eat pork, then New Year’s celebrations often revolve around pork and sauerkraut. At Christian Easter, the traditional meal is ham. And in the summer, we wait for that first hamburger or steak on the grill. </p>
<p>How did that happen to a species that was designed to eat vegetables and fruits, nuts, berries and legumes?<br />
<span id="more-263"></span><br />
We can imagine that eating meat was initially an opportunistic event, born of the need to survive. The taste of cooked meat, plus the sustained energy that came from eating high-fat meat products made primitive sense even to earliest man.</p>
<p>Initially, finding cooked animal meat, from a forest fire, would have been cause for celebration. It’s something everyone in a clan would have participated in eating together. When man learned to hunt and moved to a hunting orientation, rather than a hunter-gatherer orientation, he would have done this in groups. They would have had to hunt in teams, and killing an animal for food would have been a group effort. Hunting and killing an animal meant food not just for the individual, but for the clan, and would have been cause for celebration when the hunters brought the food home. </p>
<p>If they brought the animal back to the clan, it would have taken a group effort to skin the animal and tear or cut the meat from the carcass. Everyone would have participated in this, and subsequently, shared in the rewards of their work. </p>
<p>It’s easy to see how, once we didn’t have to hunt for meat, but could buy it, the need for gathering and celebration was deeply ingrained in our natures. We celebrate the seasons and life’s events with family and friends, and because those early celebrations involved eating meat, that tradition has continued to modern times.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A lot of people know that chicken are delicious only when it&#8217;s fried. Given one has to acknowledge that it really does taste great when cooked like that, only is it healthy? And if it is not good for you, is there another way to cook chicken quick and easy which not only taste great but also offer a much healthier option for those on a diet or who simply wish to eat healthy. </p>
<p>By these simple instructions you are on your way to a healthy and tasty meal.</p>
<p>To bake chicken we need either a whole chicken or six chicken breast pieces. Wash the dressed chicken thoroughly and coat with olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. If we want, we may put some marinade mix, like a concoction of rosemary herbs, thyme or oregano, dried or fresh. As we&#8217;re doing these, pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.</p>
<p><span id="more-245"></span><br />
Here&#8217;s the steps: </p>
<p>1. Put the chicken on the baking dish. Then place it in the oven and make sure it is uncovered.<br />
2. Bake chicken for an hour in 350 degrees till we see the chicken skin turn into golden brown.<br />
3. Place inside a meaty part of the chicken a meat thermometer to check if the meat temperature has reached 170 degrees. If it has then we&#8217;re ready to take it out of the oven. To bake chicken thighs we need the meat temperature to reach 180 degrees. These standard meat temperatures make sure we bake chicken well with all parts cooked.<br />
4. Then we cut the fleshy part of the meat deep. This should reveal white meat inside instead of pink and clear lip-smacking juice, not reddish. To bake chicken correctly all these tests should be satisfied. If not, we bake the chicken some more. Then we&#8217;re ready to serve tender and juicy baked chicken, in all its yummy goodness.</p>
<p>When we  bake chicken we can have a healthy and tastier chicken than when we fry it. Deep frying may be a good idea. But baked chicken is still many times better. When re-heating left-overs through the oven chicken often comes out tasting better than if we re-fry left-over chicken.</p>
<p>When we bake chicken we can mix it with things like  potatoes, or garlic and onions. By adding these things will decrease the chances of burning the meat or ruining the skin cover. Lots of times, we need breading to fry chicken&#8211;that&#8217;s added cholesterol.</p>

<p><strong>Eat every 4 hour</strong><br />
Metabolism that is now working at a more effective level will make you want to eat sooner than before. Having four meals a day at intervals of 4 hours keeps your metabolism moving constantly as it has to continuously absorb, distribute and convert the foods into energy. However, this rule is easier said than done. Planning and preparing your every day meals on the previous night/day is more likely to keep you on course with your diet. If you have not prepared yourself like this you are more likely to give up after a few day. Once you skip a meal, the metabolic processes in the body will slow down dramaticaly to preserve the energy.</p>
<p>This will interrupt the “kick-start” that you&#8217;ve been trying to enforce upon your metabolism.</p>
<p><strong>Divide your food into 4 equal sized meals</strong><br />
Now that you should have a pretty good idea of how often you should eat, however, you should also know what to eat and how much to eat of it. Health diets include dividing your every day meal into four parts. Quarter of your food should be protein-rich food including lean meats, yogurt, tofu, fish, eggs and legumes. The second quarter should contain unrefined carbohydrates, which includes various whole grains, pastas, breads and brown rice. And finally the remaining half of your food should consist of fruits and vegatables.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always a healthy choice to avoid any fried foods like crisps, KFC etc&#8230; and foods that are known to have high levels of saturated fats. Although it may be acceptable to treat yourself to some special food every now and then but you should keep in mind that the amount of those should be kept to minimum. In fact when it comes to food, you should make sure that everything, even your meal size is best when enjoyed in moderation. Remember to have smaller sized portions, after all its only 4 hours till your next meal.</p>

<p>If you’re like me you love the skin on the outside of duck, if it’s crispy. The texture of the meal can totally be changed with a crispy skin.</p>
<p>The secret is to make sure the duck is scored across the front and salted heavily.</p>
<p>This helps dry up the skin and makes for a super crispy skin. You will not be the only one that enjoys this Crispy Duck Recipe, but everyone else at your dinner table.</p>
<p>Take the duck that you’re going to use for your main dish make slits in the breast with a knife and poke with a fork. Salt the breast heavily use your discretion and taste. You can use this method for any recipe you can think of.</p>
<p>Just use the cooking instructions from the recipe you are using. Place the bird breast down on the baking pan and cook like that for about ¾ of the total time that the recipe says to cook it for, making sure to drain the fat from the bird, usually by sticking it with a fork under the wings and legs.</p>
<p>During the last ¼ of the cooking use the broil on the oven to finish cooking up the breast. This should make the skin crispy while the duck is still moist. Since this way of cooking can be used for almost any recipe for crispy duck recipe you have, it gives you more choices for the texture you want to use for your meal.</p>
<p>Cooking is all about mixing things up and building your own ways of cooking and recipes.</p>
<p>Also since you are slitting only the fatty layer of the bird you can use that to tuck away some hidden seasoning. Try tucking your favorite herbs into the slits under the skin, as the fat melts away it’ll trickle down and out of the bird but first it’ll seep into the meat.</p>
<p>This can add a new dimension to the meat, making it even more succulent. Taking these tips you should be able to use your imagination to come up with many more combos. With crispy duck recipes you can add extra flavors and also add a whole new texture to the dish.</p>
<p>Use these two together to try out new things, using the crispy skin to add texture to an otherwise smooth meal. The out¬standing fats eaten daily in the United States and Europe are butter, eggs, whole milk, cream, meat, fish and poultry fats, and cheese in various combinations. These fats, at 9 calories pergram, contain more than twice the amount of calories than protein or carbohydrate does at four calories each per gram. As we have noted and shall describe in later chapters, excessive intake of fats leads to the shortening of life, premature death by heart attacks and strokes, obesity, and numerous crippling ill¬nesses.</p>
<p>Fats (or lipids) contain the elements of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in various combinations of animal and vegetable fats. Examples of animal fats are butter, lard, cream, milk, eggs, and the fat in meats. Vegetable fats are soyabean oil, olive oil, cottonseed and corn oils, and peanut oils; these are found in nuts, coconuts, avocados, margarines and other vegetable fats used in cooking.</p>
<p>Fats do not dissolve in water, and when pure they are odor-less and tasteless. They are found in most bodily tissues, parti-cularly in combination with other elements, proteins, or minerals. Fats or lipids act as vehicles for the absorption of the natural fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, and E.</p>
<p>In order for fats to be utilized by the body, they must first be digested and broken down into constituent parts before being absorbed. They are absorbed in the following manner: After the food is masticated and enters the stomach, the digestive sys¬tem supplies its first fat enzyme called lipase, to begin the diges¬tion of the fat. Enzymes or ferments are unique chemical com¬pounds manufactured by the cells of the tissues. In the digestive tract they are vital for the chemical breakdown of all foods before they can be absorbed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people would be surprised to learn that when it comes to muscle building that what you eat is more important than what you do in the gym. In fact, your diet and supplements make up 80% of the muscle building puzzle.</p>
<p>So what are the best foods to help <a href="http://www.muscleandstrength.com">build muscle</a>?</p>
<p>- Lean red meat<br />
- Chicken<br />
- Oily fish (tuna is the best fish!)<br />
- Brown rice<br />
- Potatoes<br />
- Nuts (nuts are high in protein and essential fats)<br />
- Eggs (especially egg yolks)<br />
- Dairy products</p>
<p>But to really get the most out of your workouts you should be using <a href="http://www.muscleandstrength.com/supplements/bodybuilding/main.html">bodybuilding supplements</a>. I recommend at a minimum you use a good <a href="http://www.muscleandstrength.com/supplements/protein.html">whey protein supplement</a>. Whey protein is a Superior form of protein, it&#8217;s much better for the body than protein found in chicken, eggs or fish. If you are looking to build muscle you should aim to have about 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day.</p>
<p>You should eat a combination of the above foods spread out over about 6 meals per day. If you stick to a good diet with the food mentioned above and some good supplements you should be well on your way to building some solid muscle!</p>
